It’s also a very walkable neighborhood and close to Balboa Park – home to many of the city’s best tourist attractions. At night, the Gaslamp Quarter’s nightlife comes alive with bars, nightclubs, and entertainment venues. Black’s Beach is the chosen hangout spot for LGBTQ beachgoers. Almost three-quarters of the residents in the neighborhood are renters.

Nicknamed “Abnormal Heights” by locals, the area is known for its eclectic vibe and entertaining festivals.
