Although New Jersey may be one of the few states that charge folks to use the beach, there’s no question our clean coastlines are worth the price of entry. It is renowned for its big guitar sign, plenty of casino tables, and a good rocking night.  You will struggle to find a place with a magical vibe like this, and if you are even just a tiny rock fan, you need to stop by and see why it’s so popular.

In typical Jersey style, it is simply called Jersey Pride and is held this year on Sunday, June 4th. We used Saturday Night Science to research the cities in New Jersey with the highest percent of same-sex households for 2025. The city hosts New Jersey’s annual LGBTI Pride festival. It’s a great place for anyone who likes to show off a little, too.

One aspect of the Gay Atlantic City scene that many queer men enjoy is visiting gay saunas and cruising clubs. Icons to the gay community, like Cher and Lady Gaga, all have fascinating memorabilia to tour around the venue. Recent RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant Crystal Envy, our April/May cover star and winner of “Miss Congeniality,” is from Asbury Park!

You will need a Belmar beach tag for the day ($7). These include the full-service spa, seasonal swimming pool, and exceptional private quarters to suit the needs of all guests.

Take selfies by the colorful collection of murals along the walkable waterfront. Not much can match the joy of winning a giant stuffed animal or the relief of escaping the trippy Fun House on Jenkinson’s Boardwalk. It is a boutique hotel that hosts many LGBT events during the year — especially for the non-profit LGBT organizations and the leather folks.

Expect every week to be a meaningful event with live DJs and singers commanding the stage and dance floor while enjoying excellent service at the bar, VIP bottle service, classy dress code and their chill lounging area. Metered parking is available on Ocean Avenue, and you’ll find free parking on various side streets.

Keansburg Beach is still early in its development of gay beach hotspots.

There’s picturesque lighthouses, muddy marshes, and you only have to pay per car driven in. The stadium is also a marvel that makes being part of the crowds at these games something few people experience elsewhere. You can check out their performances at Anthem Lounge on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 pm, known for their celebrity impersonations from Dolly Parton to Lady Gaga.
